Jessica signed up for a site called OKCupid mostly out of boredom and a friend's recommendation. Nearly all the messages she received lacked substance and personality. Until March 1, 2011 - she accepted the below message from Nate.
They talked all day and night continuously for days up until their first date on March 14, which comes into play a little later.

Nate proposed on March 14, 2014 - exactly three years from their first date, which he completely recreated. They enjoyed dinner together, strolled by the water at sunset, and ended up at a coffee shop where Nate pulled out a small locked bag. He gifted a key for Valentine's Day a month prior and instructed her to always carry it. Jessica used the key to undo the lock, which had inscribed "to unlock true love you need a key". Nate presented the perfect ring and proposed to her in the same place where they shared their first kiss.
Proposal stories are swell, but the happy couple believe that what is more important is not the how - but the why.
Nate swiftly grasped what an outstanding woman he found in Jessica. Roughly a year into their relationship, Nate realized he wanted to marry this beautiful woman filled with love, support and kindness. She completes him, encourages his soul, and motivates him to be an exceptional man. Nate discovered God's final match for him in Jessica, and he cannot wait to spend the remainder of his life with the woman of his dreams.
Jessica could not imagine a life without Nate. He epitomizes everything she always dreamed of in finding a future husband. Never has she met someone so motivational and supportive of her every idea and endeavor. She is utterly fascinated by his intelligence and determination. Nate treats her like a princess and makes her fairy tale dreams come true. Most importantly, she said yes, because she is thrilled to walk this journey of marriage with a godly man by her side.
